Fluorine has an atomic number of 9 That is, there are 9 protons in its nucleus. Most of the fluoride in the world with 10 neutrons in the nucleus (mass number 19).

It is an equal number of electrons and protons in a normal atom, while 9 electrons. The electrons are arranged with 2 in the first layer closest to the core and 7 in the second layer.

Does this help?
